Why I Love Photography

rainbow

I see things better from behind the lens of a camera.  I notice more details, I judge the contrast of light and dark more accurately, and generally I feel more “in the moment” than I do as a casual observer.  Taking photos makes me feel like I am thoughtfully in wonder, and that is a feeling I am addicted to.

  1. Same here… Except for the time I misjudged that step while looking through the lens in Hội An. Photographer falls forward, smashes knees, tweaks wrists, bangs up lens. Ouch!

    1. I did that in Arches NP – first time I took my new camera out. Got a little gouge out of the rubber (thank goodness!!) on the side. Now my camera has battle scars! 🙂
