Yellowstone

It's been so long that I've blogged that I've almost forgotten how to do it.  I don't know any other way to pick it back up than to delve right back in.

I was using this blog as a way to chronicle my photography life.  The problem is, that most of my life recently is not photo-worthy.  The mundane, everyday stuff has been at the forefront for a long time now.

But…

Going on vacation recently ignited something in me that I can't *not* share.   I hope that I can be more consistent about blogging going forward, as some life commitments have come to a close.

Anyway…

A trip to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park has inspired me to take time out of the mundane to appreciate the beautiful.

Yellowstone…was superfreaking crowded…almost to the point of being un-enjoyable. BUT the sights were amazing because it felt like things were in technicolor.

This particular thought is what made me re-open this blog, whose name I've kept up for the past two years, even though I haven't used it.  It was always my intent to maintain this site as sort of a travel blog.

Seeing the world with new eyes, with purposeful intentions, has re-energized me.  I hope to have the time to share more.  For now, I'll start with one photo.

It's crazy beautiful there.  And I was constantly reminded that I was walking on the surface of the caldera of a supervolcano.

    1. Thank you! At this particular place (West Thumb Geyser Basin), I just waited because it was about to storm so there weren’t many people out. Everywhere else, though, was crowded.
